PR Photography - Kent

I always like receiving the call for PR Photography jobs. It usually starts with the words, "I don't suppose you are free tomorrow?"

On this occasion I was, which meant I got a nice trip to the zoo. Well to be be more accurate it was Port Lympne Wildife Park. My job was to meet a group from a large national company who were volunteering for the day - helping out with the Rhinos. I had to photograph them taking part in their activities and then I got to photograph and video them meeting one of the Rhinos.

This is Rosie the Black Rhino - she was hand reared at London Zoo and then moved to Port Lympne to see if they could encourage her to mate. They have been unsuccesful and suspect the hand rearing is part of the problem. Anyway, she was lovely with all of her guests and happily took carrots from all of them.

It is great to work on little jobs like this and it was nice to meet all of the volunteers and especially Shelley Kettle the Senior Rhino Keeper.
