Dover seafront is a hive of activity at the moment, the existing seafront groynes (yes that is the correct spelling!) are being replaced with new rock groynes made of Larvic rock from Norway. I am certainly looking forward to seeing the completed project. Watching the lone digger this morning gave me a real insight into the size of the task. I can't imagine how they manage with the tides. It reminded me of happy days on the beach as a child - making sand castles and battlements then waiting for the tide to come in and level everything.
I will be tracking their progress - so check back in for some more images soon.
